Cocoon Coffee Shop

With Cocoon Coffee House, we converted a historic, 1,900 square-foot stone structure into a contemporary coffee house. The property originally housed cocoons for the adjacent silk mill in the 1900s. We worked with architect Peter Bohlin to celebrate the property's history while updating it for modern tastes. 

The property's transformation was intensive, and included digging out the original dirt floor to increase the property's ceiling height. The hardest part of the project, though, was working with the original openings through the 2' thick, historic stone walls.
